KIKO Cosmetics

KIKO is a brand that I didn't really hear about until about a year ago, and I've been eager to try out some products ever since. So, when I visited the KIKO store in Westfield White City it was so busy

and the shop wasn't big enough, I spent a good 10 minutes waiting to be able to get near the lipstick stand. Once I got to it I just wanted to quickly pick some stuff up, pay and leave. Although I picked in a rush I'm actually quite pleased with my purchase.

The price of KIKO makeup is reasonable, it's more like drugstore/highstreet prices. The lip pencils were on sale and I got it for £1.20  each (currently still that price!) which is just a bargain. The lipstick was £4.90 each. For this price the products were well worth the money!

I picked up 2 SMART Lip Pencils in shades 711 - a plumish shade and 709 which is a more bright fuchsia kind of shade. I also couldn't resist getting 2 of their lipsticks, the Ultra Glossy Stylo's in 813 and 814. 

The lip pencils are amazing (especially for that price!) I've really enjoyed pairing them with some of my lipsticks and they last pretty long on my lips, applies very well and doesn't feel dry. 

I usually pair 709 with MAC All Fired Up or Lustering and 711 with MAC Rebel. 

The lipstick in shade 813 is a pinky nude shade and the formula is similar to that of MAC's lustre lipsticks (if you don't know what that is, lustre is a glossy, more sheer lipstick formula MAC does, with lots of different shades being in a lustre finish). Shade 814 is also like a lustre formula lipstick. 814 is more bright pink and I often pair this with the KIKO lip pencil in 709.

For the price of these products I am very impressed with the quality and the pigmentation. I will definitely be purchasing and trying out more products from KIKO in the future. There are so many more different finishes in KIKO lipsticks and I really want to try some matte ones, and maybe some of their face products too. KIKO does skincare products as well as makeup.
