This is my first blog post of 2016! eeeeek! I ordered the Zoeva rose golden brush set from beautybay.com, I wanted to do a blog post on these brushes as soon as they were delivered months ago, but I thought it would be better if I actually tried them out first and did a review.
This set consists of 8 brushes in total (top to bottom):
Powder brush 108 - This brush feels really nice to hold while applying loose or pressed powder, the bristles are soft and I think this brush does a pretty good job. This brush is vegan friendly, it has hand crafted Taklon bristles as stated on the Beautybay website.
Silk finish brush 102 - This brush is actually one of my favourite brushes from the set, and it's also one of my favourite brushes for applying liquid foundation. The bristles are very densely packed which makes it useful for buffing in the foundation and blending it into the skin properly. I wanted to buy this brush set just for this brush and I'm really happy I have it now. The silk finish brush is also a vegan friendly brush.
Luxe sheer cheek brush 127 - I absolutely love this brush, it feels incredibly soft, I think all of the luxe brushes by Zoeva just feel so soft on the skin. I use this brush to apply blusher, but I think you could also use this for contouring and bronzing. I really want more luxe brushes by Zoeva including this one.
Face shape brush 110 - This brush is perfect for blending, it's very dense and small and can allow for precise blending of cream contours and other cream and powder products.
Concealer and buffer brush 142 - This is very similar to the real techniques deluxe crease brush and I use them both to blend out my concealer. This brush would also be great to apply cream contour to into the cheekbone very precisely. The real techniques one is a little bit softer on the skin, but only ever so slightly, otherwise they feel the same and both to the same job basically.
Luxe soft definer brush 227 - I use this brush to blend out my crease shade or transition shade, it's similar to the MAC 217 brush, but not exactly the same. I still prefer my 217 by MAC, but for the price, this one's great and does pretty much the same job.
Luxe petit crease brush 231 - This brush is perfect for applying more eyeshadow to yours crease more precisely, it can also be used to blend eyeshadow under the lower lash line.
Wing liner brush 317 - As the name of the brush suggests, this brush can be used to draw on the perfect wing liner or to fill in your eyebrows. The bristles are nylon and vegan friendly.
This set currently retails for £56.95 on beautybay.com, Beautybay also stocks other Zoeva products such as eyeshadow palettes and blushers. I have a serious urge to order other brush sets by Zoeva and also some that are sold individually. The order was delivered on time and with no issues, I was very happy with Beautybay overall. If in the future I do buy any more I will blog about it!
I think these brushes are such good quality and do the job very well for how much they cost. The rose gold hardware was what initially made me want these brushes as well as the rave reviews they were getting from beauty gurus all over YouTube and blogs. I think these brushes would look beautiful in anyone's collection.
I love buying new makeup brushes and I keep looking for new ones to try all the time, if you guys have any good makeup brush recommendations please let me know so I can try them out! Also, if there are any reviews or anything else you'd like to see a blog post on please let me know so I can try and do it! I really want to post more regularly and it would be incredibly useful to know what you guys want to see.
