Urban Decay: naked skin concealer REVIEW

Wednesday, 15 April 2015

This is a fairly new release from Urban Decay (Spring 2015 launch) that got every concealer junkie very excited. Urban Decay describes this as a weightless, complete coverage concealer that does not settle into fine lines. It's also supposed to be infused with light diffusing peptides. This concealer is available in 8 shades and costs £19.50, there is 5ml of product in it.

The packaging of this concealer is really nice, I really like the silver lid and glass tube (do you call it a tube?). It has a doe foot applicator, which is a bit different to the ones we normally get, but I don't think its a bad difference. It picks up product on both sides and it also bends a bit. I don't usually use a lot of concealer, this means I don't have to dip it back into the tube to get more product. The fact that it bends means its easier to use maybe? I'm actually not really sure how it would make much of a difference.

The product itself is really nice, I've got the shade medium/dark warm. I don't think its a complete (full) coverage concealer, but it does seem to cover up enough. I used it underneath my eyes, and I felt that after I blended it out it became more sheer. I have really bad dark circles around my eye (It's a hereditary thing for me) and this isn't enough to cover it up completely unless I use a peach coloured corrector underneath. If you don't have really dark circles around your eyes I think this would be enough on its own. It would also be great as a highlighting concealer.

It lasts pretty much all day on my skin, I would say definitely more than 6/8 hours on even people with oily skin as it does dry down to more matte finish.

Overall I would definitely recommend this concealer if you are interested. Let me know your thoughts on this product if you have tried it!

Thanks for reading. :) x
