MAC Soft and gentle highlighter - REVIEW

Tuesday, 30 June 2015

MAC soft and gentle is probably the most popular highlighter out there (but recently there has been a lot of hype around Becca Opal and the Mary Lou-Manizer by The Balm too). After purchasing and using this product I can see why its so popular among so many beauty bloggers, it just gives you the most amazing glow. I use it in the inner corner of my eyes, on the tops of my cheeks (sometimes) and down the bridge of my nose, brow bone and cupids bow. Sometimes I feel like its a bit too shiny and glittery for me, and I just use it for the inner corners of my eyes.

Also what do you guys think about the changed packaging? I like it, but sometimes with my short nails its hard to pry open the magnetic closure on the packing.

Its a golden peachy highlight so it wont show up too chalky or light on darker skin tones. If I feel like I have put on a bit too much or its too shimmery I blend it out a bit more and try to remove some with my makeup brush. It doesn't accentuate my pores or mess up my foundation and lasts a fairly long time, pretty much the whole day.

You get 10g/0.35 US OZ product for £23, which does seem a bit expensive, but I've been using it for a while now and there isn't even a tiny dent in it, it looks the same as when I first got it. You need such a small amount and it will last you a very long time.

Overall I would definitely recommend this highlighter to anyone who loves a glowy look.
